2020-2021 Let's Chat
Webinar Series

Welcome!

The 'Let's Chat' webinar series is a service project initiated by Dr. Chathuri Illapperuma-Wood, Ph.D.  Along with the support of other professionals with expertise in child development and behavioral psychology, this project was brought to life in the year 2020. The goal of the project is to disseminate knowledge to caregivers, educators, and therapists on using behavioral psychology to help children become more successful in the home, school, and community settings. Children often communicate with adults through behaviors; therefore understanding these behaviors are critical to understanding the child. The carefully crafted series of multiple webinars will include various informative and skill building sessions on how we can use behavioral psychology to understand children.  Each 60 minute session will also follow a Q&A portion where participants will have opportunities to ask questions from the presenters. The webinars will be held every Saturday, beginning November 14th, 2020 at 10am. All sessions are free to participants and only require a simple online registration (advanced registration to all sessions is open). Participants will also have the opportunity to enter their names into a raffle if they attend all 10 sessions. While this series hopes to enlighten the Sri Lankan education system on using behavioral psychology and child development in its pedagogy, it is primarily designed to create a platform for Sri Lankan caregivers, educators, and therapists to come together to discuss how we can make our children become more successful.
